I was born in Shanghai, grew up in Hong Kong, studied in the UK, Spain and Germany. I hold a B.A. (1st Hons.) and a M.A. in Linguistics, and am currently doing a PhD.

I have been learning and/or teaching languages all the time, yet how little do I know about languages. As I started teaching Mandarin Chinese again last year, plenty of questions about my language flushed in. In an attempt to make it clear to my students and myself, I searched for answers but often enough there are no black and white answers, I hope to share some of my findings to the frequently asked questions in Mandarin Chinese and share some great resources I in this blog.
